Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Sea Messages (رسائل البحر) has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to seamessages.com and to the Sea Messages app on Google Play.
Zero tolerance
Anything that sexualises, grooms, exploits or endangers a child is forbidden: child sexual abuse material, sexual messages to or about minors, asking a minor for images or to meet, moving a minor to another app, and sextortion. Breaking this rule gets the account banned for good.
Who the app is for
Sea Messages is for people aged 13 and over, and under-18s should use it with a parent or guardian's knowledge. Discover, which suggests nearby islands, is for adults (18+) only and never shows anyone's exact location.
How we prevent it
Every message is checked automatically before it is delivered, with word lists and an AI check for sexual content, bullying, threats and hate. A message that fails is held or rejected and never reaches the person it was sent to. Profile photos are reviewed by our team before anyone else can see them.
How to report
In the app, open the message and tap Report, then block the sender. You can also email support@seamessages.com with "Child safety" in the subject. We treat child-safety reports as urgent.
What we do
We remove the content, ban the accounts involved, keep what the law requires us to keep, and report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and local law enforcement, as the law requires.
