Terms of Use

• You must be at least 13 — or older, if your country sets a higher minimum age.
• Be kind. No bullying, threats, hate, sexual content, or sharing other people's private information.
• Every message is checked before it's delivered. We can hold or reject messages, and suspend accounts that break these rules.
• Recipients never see who sent an anonymous message. We do keep the sender's account on our servers, to handle reports and to follow the law.
• Sea Messages is free. You can delete your account at any time.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age for online services in your country if that is higher. If you are under 18, use Sea Messages with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.

You sign in with Google or Facebook. You are responsible for what happens on your account, so keep your sign-in secure and don't sell, share or transfer your account. Your username and island name must not impersonate someone else or be offensive.

• Bully, harass, threaten, or humiliate anyone.
• Send hate speech, or attack people for their religion, race, nationality, gender, or appearance.
• Send sexual content, or any content involving minors in a sexual way.
• Encourage self-harm or suicide. If someone seems at risk, report the message and point them to help.
• Share someone else's private information, photos, or messages without their permission.
• Pretend to be someone else, or try to find out who sent an anonymous message.
• Send spam, scams, or links to harmful sites, or use bots or automation.
• Break the law of your country, or try to break, overload, or get around the safety features of the service.

What you write is yours. You give us permission to store it, check it, deliver it to the person you sent it to, and show it back to you — that is what the service needs to work. A person who receives your message may share it (for example as a story card). Shared cards never show who sent it, unless you chose to show your name.

Every message is checked automatically before delivery, and some are reviewed by our team. We may hold, reject, or remove messages, and warn, suspend, or ban accounts that break these terms. Our checks are designed to stop hurtful messages, but no system is perfect — use report and block, and tell us if something gets through.

When you send a message without your name, the recipient never sees who you are, and nobody can pay to find out. We still keep the real sender of every message on our servers, so we can act on reports and blocks. We share it only if the law requires us to, or to prevent serious harm.

Sea Messages is free and provided as it is. We work to keep it running and safe, but we may change, pause, or stop features, and we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Messages are written by users, not by us, and we are not responsible for what users send. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by other users' content.

You can delete your account at any time from the Me tab. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

If we change these terms, we update the date at the top. Important changes are announced in the app before they take effect.
