Sea Messages (رسائل البحر) is a free anonymous messages web app at seamessages.com. Everyone gets an island and a link to share in their stories, friends send them messages without their names, and every message is checked before it's delivered.

What is Sea Messages?

Sea Messages is a free anonymous messages service. You claim an island with your own link, like seamessages.com/b/yourname, share it on an Instagram story, WhatsApp Status, Snapchat or TikTok, and friends send you "bottles" without their names. You can also throw a bottle into the open sea to reach a random person.

Is Sea Messages the same as seamsg.com or the film?

No. Sea Messages at seamessages.com is independent. We are not affiliated with seamsg.com, which uses the Arabic name «موقع رسائل البحر», with other store apps of the same name, with the 2010 Egyptian film «رسائل البحر», or with Sarahah, NGL or Tellonym.

What do we promise?

The service is free, with no ads and no paid feature that reveals a sender. Every message is written by a real person and checked before delivery, and we remove location data from photos. We keep the real sender's account on our servers only so moderation, blocking and reporting work, and never show it to recipients.

Who is Sea Messages for?

Anyone aged 13 or over, or the minimum age for online services in their country if that is higher. It was built for Egypt first and works in Egyptian Arabic and English. We ask people under 18 to use it with a parent or guardian's knowledge.

Where is the data kept?

Our database and sign-in run on a provider called Supabase, and the current project is hosted in Singapore. Message text is sent to our moderation model at send time only, without your identity. You can delete your account at any time.

How do I contact you?

Write to support@seamessages.com with any question, report or data deletion request. If you received a hurtful message, the fastest route is report and block from inside the message itself, because they act on the real sender straight away.
