Your anonymous messages link on Facebook

Facebook is still where many friends and relatives are, and your link works there like anywhere else. This guide shows how to share it in a post, pin it to your profile, and add it to a story if you have the link sticker.

How do I share the link in a post?

Copy your island link, open Facebook and tap "What's on your mind?", then paste the link with a line that invites people to write. Wait for the preview, set the audience to Friends, and post. A post works for every account, and anyone who opens the link can start writing to you straight away.

Open Facebook and tap "What's on your mind?" to start a new post.
Paste the link and write a line above it, like "Send me a message without your name, kindly".
Wait a few seconds for the link preview to appear, and set the audience to Friends.
Tap Post, and your friends can open the link and write to you.

Can I pin the link to my profile?

Yes, if your account has the links field. On your profile, tap Edit profile, look for Links in the intro section, and add your island link. These links are visible to anyone who visits your profile, so you don't need to post the link again and again.

What about a Facebook story?

If you see a Link sticker while making a story, add your island link to it, over the ready-made story picture from the Me page. If the sticker isn't there for you, post the picture as a story with "link in my post", and share the link in a post.

Should I post it in groups?

In a group of friends or classmates it can work, but ask the admin first and read the group rules. Big groups are full of people you don't know, so it's better to keep it for friends, in a post or on your profile, so messages come from people who know you.

How do I get friends to write more?

Ask one clear question instead of "send me anything", and change the line every time you share the link again. When a kind message arrives, share it as a card; it reminds people about your link without asking again.

Will my friends see who wrote to me?

No. The post only shows the link; messages arrive on your shore for you alone, and nobody else sees them unless you share one as a card, and cards never show who wrote it. Anyone who writes without their name stays anonymous to you too, unless they choose to show it.
