Your anonymous messages link on TikTok

TikTok is a great place for people to find your link, but a clickable bio link isn't available to every account. This guide covers how to add it when you can, and what to do when you can't.
How do I add the link to my bio?
On your TikTok profile, tap Edit profile; if you see a Links (or Website) field, paste your island link and save. The link appears under your bio, and anyone visiting your profile can tap it and write you an anonymous message, signing in once to send.
- Copy your island link from Sea Messages (seamessages.com/b/yourname).
- Open TikTok, go to your profile and tap Edit profile.
- If you see a Website (or Links) field, paste your island link into it.
- Save, then open your profile and check that the link works.
Why don't I see a link field?
TikTok's help center says you can add a website link to your profile if you have at least 1,000 followers or a Verified Business Account. If you don't see the link field, your account most likely doesn't meet that yet, which doesn't mean anything is wrong with it. The alternatives below work for everyone.
What if the field isn't there?
Put your link in your Instagram story or WhatsApp Status, and write something like "my link is on Instagram" in your TikTok bio. You can also type the short address seamessages.com/b/yourname in your bio or a video caption, although it won't be clickable.

A video idea that brings in messages
Film a short video of you opening a bottle, reading a kind message aloud and replying, then invite viewers to write to you through your link. Never show a message with someone's personal details, and pick the ones that make people smile.

Can I put the link in a TikTok story?
TikTok stories don't support clickable links at the moment. It's best to say in the story that your link is in your bio or on Instagram.
Can my TikTok followers see who wrote to me?
No. A sender stays anonymous unless they choose to show their name, and nobody can pay to find out who sent a message.
